Boyf and I went to see The Avengers last night.
He didn’t like it because it was “too cheesy”. Gave it 4/10.

I bought the movie on Saturday even though my bestie/housemate was all “Nah, don’t buy that, it’s shit” because it was on sale and I was curious.
Such a cliche, but I feel changed.
I think it has such an effect on people because it’s someones memoir. It’s not just a “feel good” Hollywood movie.
I feel like I couldn’t have watched this at a better time with my (nearly) two month Europe trip coming up in exactly a year. I don’t know why, but I just have this feeling and this thought running through my head all the time saying “Europe is going to change everything”. I know the trip won’t be exactly an “eat pray love” thing (although the “eat” part will probably be right), but the sentiment is the same.
I am also a stubborn Athiest and I can’t in any way comprehend a God as much as I try to, so the “pray” part will probably never apply to me. But the message in this section was to find balance, devotion and inner peace with herself. I feel like I can do that without a “higher power”.
My plan now is to buy the book and read it now, and then again just before we leave. Buying it off eBay as we speak.

And then you realise that some teenagers today may never have experienced cassettes.
I asked my 11 year old half brother and 8 year old half sister recently if they knew what a cassette was. Neither of them knew. They also didn’t know what a walkman was, but my brother could tell me what a discman was.
When I explained to my sister what they both were, her response was “Oh. Boring!” as she went back to playing games on her very own iPod touch.
